  • Bogotá is a modern city with corresponding medical infrastructure, but the countryside stay will be in the sticks. For this reason, we regret to inform parents of young children that this is not the best trip for bringing the entire squad. Young children or those with special needs should consult with their physicians, spiritual advisers, and/or Lord Farquad before committing to this trip.

While in the countryside, do not participate in motorsport without a helmet, frolick with reckless abandon, or purchase illicit or counterfeit goods from a subpar or mediocre source, lest you find yourself needing urgent medical care.

Prepare yourself for the promise and peril of high altitude. The altitude sickness will strike those who live in sin and who inherit the dirty secrets of their parents. What was the question again?

  • Our family will be hosting a welcome dinner on June 9th, 2023 at Posada El Molina de San Luis, Ubaté beginning at 5 pm. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, appetizers, and dinner will be provided. Transportation will be provided from Bogotá to this location.

On our wedding day, June 10th, 2023, we will be providing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, lunch, and a light dinner as the festivities carry into the evening.

Informal gatherings on other days will be communicated privately.

  • NO! We are the assholes hosting a destination wedding during an ongoing pandie and the soft opening of WW3. As much as we’d love to intimately celebrate with you and our loved ones, we know it’s big ask and a huge commitment in time and money. But if you’re in a position to join us, we can’t wait to host and co-create lifelong memories with you in Colombia.

  • Get to Bogota by Thursday, June 8 at the latest.

Do your thing starting Monday, June 12

June 10th, 2023 is the confirmed date of the wedding ceremony and reception. For compressed schedules (e.g., you’d rather be in Santa Marta immediately before/after the wedding), we recommend landing in Bogota (BOG) no later than 8am (local time) on June 9 (Friday), and departing Bogota (BOG) no earlier than the morning of June 12 (Monday). Once in Bogota, we’ll be providing group transportation between the hotel and the Fuquene weekend site.

  • No :)

US citizens traveling to Colombia do not need a pre-approved visa to visit. Upon arrival, you’ll be given a 90-day tourist/visitor’s visa.

  • YES! As. You. Should. Domestic air travel within Colombia is super affordable.

Contact Seb if you’d like both solicited and unsolicited recommendations.

  • For those who have health-related concerns and are experiencing high altitude for the first time, please be sure to consult with your primary care physician and/or a trusted healthcare provider.

Bogotá sits at approx. 8,661 feet (2,640 meters). Fuquene is as high as 9,000 feet (2,881 meters).

Anything above 2,500 meters is considered high altitude from a physiological and public health perspective.

If you’ve been to Denver CO (5,280 ft / 1,609 m) or Santa Fe NM (7,199 ft. or 2,194 m) before, and you noticed altitude-related impacts, prepárate bb bc you’re gonna get rocked for the first 1-2 days.

  • Take a deep breath and hold it.

[please heed actual medical advice specific to your situation.]

  • Only you can look inside yourself and answer that question. For this destination wedding, however, you’ll be OK.
